This very nice 3-Rail AC HO gauge two car diesel multiple unit set by Marklin is 3576 a DB BR 628/928 DMU in grey with green stripe livery, the leading car has running number 628 203-2. The DB Class 628 is a twin-car, diesel multiple unit operated by the Deutsche Bahn for local passenger rail services. They were introduced between 1974 and 1981, with different variants being built up to 1995. They have proved to be reliable and economical in practice. Now that newer vehicles have appeared, the 628s are becoming a bit outdated.

On some 628s, new passenger information systems with automatic announcements and displays for the next stop have been installed and in many regions ticket machines have also been fitted, as had been planned in the original design. The unit is in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures, We are unable to test it as we do not have a three rail AC test rig or track, so we have not tested it but can see no reason why it would not run. However a complete external visual inspection has shown no reason why this loco would not run and the overall condition. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition, however as is common with Marklin products of this era the plastic box liner has degraded.

It is possible that that the missing buffer is in the box but we could not see it. Overall this is a really nice scale locomotive and would look fantastic on a layout. Do please have a look at my other listings, I typically have various HO and OO locos on offer as well as an extensive range of imported N gauge locos and other items. Note: I do recommend all locos are cleaned & serviced, as they have some age to them even if the quality looks at the highest level fairly standard advice for all locos!
