Peruvian stone Ritual Conopas Set of Two, Female and Male Alpaca
From the Andes Mountains of Peru. Two Ritual Caliza Stone Conopas. These Inca Ritual offering conopas in the shape of alpacas, hand carved out of Caliza stone, with a hole in its back called a "qocha" (lagoon) the container for offerings during the ceremony " Haywarisqa" (ceremony of offerings). The offerings are llama fat and coca leaves. Some Andean people use the conopas as an amulet, they place them in a special altar in their homes. These conopas came from a Sunday market in the village nearby Cusco, Perú. Approx Size : 4.5 X 3 X 1.8 inches.
