TWO-FISTED TALES (Fort Ord) EC SET. Five Comics. Brittle Pages

These comics are non-returnable for reasons Ill explain below. The comics, after all, have been together for 70 years. They share the same flaws, primarily the brittle pages. Heat hasnt dulled the cover colors, but it has punished the page quality. As a result, these comics cant handle being read, much less handled.

I carefully slipped them into the bags. You dont want to take them out. Ive included photos of the comics in the bags for that reason. You may want to slip the bag inside a Golden Age mylar, but this bag should be the ECs final resting place.

Individual grades for the comics are below. Almost all are in the Fair to Poor range, due to missing pieces, split and detached spines, and the inevitable chipping of those pages. Im grading them conservatively because of the page quality. I can send you additional photos of the comics outside the bags if you need them. An original owner set of comics that present well, but are fragile as hell. Brittle pages, almost without exception. Split spines, more often than not.

In every comic I could peruse without doing further damage to the spine, the comic was complete. Comics that will look spectacular on a spinner rack. Comics that WILL NOT handle the strain of being removed from the bag/board. By you or, I might add, the ham-fisted dudes at CGC. Comics that arent supple enough to be read.

And comics you CAN NOT return. Theres a fair chance you wont be able to resist the temptation. Youll open the bag, looking for a profit margin. And when the comic is further damaged in the process, youll want to send it back. Brittle pages, tan at best. Cover spine still holding on.
