TWO SETs Genuine Antique Vintage ANKLE SHACKLES OR CUFFS with Keys. Made by HIATT & CO AND Called Nigger Collars and Police Snap Leg Irons with Screw Key Locks (KEYS ARE INCLUDED). All Cuffs are still working and closing and opening.

Internal Springs maybe worn due the aging (1900). Sets like this you will find them only from the Science Musea in Victoria. Those Vintage Iron ANKLE OR HANDCUFFS show a Rich Patina to compliment their age. The Ankle Cuffs Chains key are a complimentary set as both coming from Papua New Guinea as Ankle Prisoners Shackles Chain clearly used in the 1800?

And imported and taken to Australia as I was been informed. The latching mechanism works by inserting the Key into the hole in the Cuff Pull and Press by turning the key to open and close and this is working on both Shackels then loosening the key which tightens the handcuff. There are only Two keys supplied as they are for the large set and one key will also open the Smaller Cufs but may not the right key for them???? You will not find a similar sets as they are very scarce to obtain. They where imported by someone who has living in Papua Septic River.
