VINTAGE CHINESE c. 1950 SET OF TWO (2) CLOISONNE ENAMEL COPPER LIDDED VASES PEONY

  
This is a vintage set of two (2) Chinese c. 1950's handmade cloisonne enameled over copper lidded vases with a floral design. The background is enameled in black with an allover geometric pattern and a design of cloisonne peony flowers. The interior of the vase and lid are enameled in turquoise blue. The lid has a brass finial.

The vases are similar but not exact replicas of one another. One vase is also slightly taller than the other.

These cloisonne vases were well used, yet well loved and with exception to minor signs of past use, remains in overall very fine condition. They are a fine examples of Chinese enameled cloisonne work of the 1950's. The lidded vases measure 5" in diameter at its widest midpoint by 8 1/2" tall (12.7 x 21.6 cm). One vase is slightly taller measuring 1/4" taller or 8 3/4" tall (22.2 cm).
