Vintage Chinoiserie Asian Court Attendant Statues Set of Two

Up for sale is a substantial, highly stylized pair of vintage Asian court attendant / tomb servant figurines. Exquisitely modeled after ancient Chinese "mingqi" spirit goods, these statues showcase a heavily distressed green, gray, and earth-toned patina designed to perfectly mimic authentic, excavated archaeological artifacts. Crafted from a dense, heavy composite material (faux terracotta), these figures possess excellent physical weight, stability, and an authentic stony feel.

The bottoms of both bases retain their original black round felt floor protectors to safeguard your tabletops. CONDITION DETAILS: Beautiful vintage condition with an intentional, wonderfully aged look.

Please note that the "peeling" paint effects, surface distressing, and rustic coloration are original characteristics meant to simulate hundreds of years of burial. There are a few minor, superficial rubs along the sharp edges of the black rectangular bases from previous display and storage, which do not detract from the overall look. A striking, sophisticated addition to any Chinoiserie, eclectic, or Mid-Century Modern interior design layout. These look fantastic styled symmetrically on a fireplace mantel, entryway console table, or library bookshelf! Packaged with extreme, professional-grade care using heavy-duty wrap and a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.
