Rare Antique 1920's two-tone Chinese Mahjong Set in Pristine Condition

  

Pung Chow (also known as Mah-Diao, Mah-Jong, Mah-Cheuk, Mah-Juck and Pe-Ling), or "the game of a hundred intelligences", is the precursor to American Mahjong. This set is a rare find.

It is complete and it comes with instructions and four scoring cards printed and dated in 1923. This is a 2-tone, 2-Layer set likely made in 1923. The material is probably black and white pyralin.

It is in great condition and with minimal wear despite its age. Original wooden black painted box with metal handle and five dovetailed drawers.
