This is the Kato (N) 10-006 Starter Set for the E7 Series Hokuriku Shinkansen "Kagayaki, " a complete N gauge train set perfect for beginners and collectors. The set includes the locomotive, Unitrack track, and a power pack, allowing you to start running your Shinkansen immediately. The distinctive "One Motion Line" nose design inherited from the E2 Series is beautifully recreated, along with the calm and elegant sky-blue and copper color scheme. The exterior accurately reproduces the window arrangements of cars 1-10, including sections where windows are blocked due to onboard luggage storage installation. Destination display stickers have been updated to reflect the Tsuruga extension and operational changes involving the Joetsu Shinkansen. The wheels feature characteristic Shinkansen-style disc brakes, and diaphragm couplers ensure realistic and reliable inter-car connections.

Equipped with a slotless motor, the train runs smoothly and quietly. Headlights and tail lights illuminate, and the minimum operating radius is R315.
