A fine pair of aristocratic photograph albums belonging to members from the same family, containing numerous cabinet cards, in matching full morocco with raised silver metal coronets and monograms, c1890s. Two original portrait photograph albums, from the same aristocratic European family. Both bound in full black morocco, with blind ruling. Silver metal coronet and monogram to both covers,'JLE' and'KE'. Red edges to card leaves.

JLE' album containing 21 cabinet cards (remaining apertures left blank) /'KE' album with 25 cabinet cards (remaining apertures left blank). All photographs mounted in the apertures of thick gilt-ruled card leaves. 24 thick card leaves (48 apertures) in each album, so 46 apertures are filled and approx. Printed studio details on verso and/or recto of most cabinet cards (variety of German and Eastern European studios).

Size: 4to - each album approx. 21.5cm x 18cm x 6.5cm. Some scratching / scuffing to covers. Light foxing to card leaves. Some fading / age-toning to a few images, but generally tones very good.

An attractive pair of late 19th century aristocratic European portrait photograph, containing a combined total of 46 cabinet cards, with the remaining apertures left blank. Various studios, with locations suggesting a Prussian origin. The silvered coronets and monograms on each cover imply links to an imperial lineage.
